Client Testimonials

Kimberly Harris, Distinctive Voice Consulting, was wonderful to work with. Our training focused on Cultural Diversity and Sensitivity in a School setting. We had a short timeline and specific goals in mind and she was able to meet and exceed our expectations. Our staff commented that she was well organized, entertaining and had insightful information. We would love to have her back!

I highly recommend Kim Harris to you. Kim helped our church staff environment develop an even greater sensitivity to cultural diversity. Her passion for understanding and practical insights encouraged all of us to look beyond ourselves to the place of partnership. Your work or school environment would be deeply enhanced with the training provided by Kim Harris.

Student Testimonials

Thank you for making it a safe space that allowed us room to grow! I was surprised when it was over how quickly the course had gone. There was a great mix of lecture, conversation and break out session.

I wish it could have been longer. I realize it is difficult with an online platform and fatigue at the end of the day. I find myself wanting more information. The resources provided will be useful in continuing my learning.

On this feedback question #1, I marked on both “what I was looking for” and “Not what I was looking for”. Because I really wish it was longer. I like Kimberly’s teaching style, she gives us small group discussion time so each of us is engaged in the class. However the things she covers in bullet points are also so important and deep, I wish we could get into each of them with more time, samples and conversation. Kimberly did provide examples and I appreciated but I’d love to hear a lot more of real life examples that make us learn what privilege and Allyship really look like. (Of course that’s impossible in one time class and now as I write this, I’m realizing that this class is the wake-up call and it’s my turn to learn more on my own -that’s why we get resource list- and get out to take part in those real life actions and speak up when I can) . Thank you so much for the class and please keep me posted for future ‘wake up calls’.

This workshop was a personal journey that took me from where I was at into the next steps for me personally in understanding allyship, privilege, identity, and social justice.
